Wind Gap Woman Killed in Crash

State Police at Belfast report that a Wind Gap woman was killed in crash off Route 611 Wednesday morning.

A Wind Gap woman was killed Wednesday morning after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree in Lower Mount Bethel Township, state police at Belfast are reporting. Miechelle L. Keller, 27, died on the scene of the crash off Route 611, a police report states. Keller was heading north when she lost control near Terri Lane, went into the shoulder and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to go airborne, police said. She was ejected through the sunroof of the vehicle. The vehicle continued through the air before striking a tree with the passenger side, police said. The vehicle then landed and came to a rest halfway down the embankment, the report states. Suburban EMS responded to the crash, which happened at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday. Police …

Intoxicated Woman Pulled Knife on Husband, Police Say

Janice Klimek, 37, of Wind Gap, is charged with simple assault and harassment.

A Wind Gap man came home from work Feb. 12 and found his wife “passed out on the couch from drinking,” court records say. He woke her up and “confronted” her about her drinking and a “secret” cell phone. The wife then went “crazy,” the husband told police, and began punching and kicking him, the records say. She “reportedly pulled a knife” on him, and at this point he and their juvenile son went into a bedroom and locked the door “for safety,” according to court records. Police eventually arrived—this was around 4:15 p.m.—and the wife, Janice Klimek, 37, was arrested and later charged with simple assault and harassment. Paroled Killer Allegedly Ordered McD's While Naked from Waist Down

Patrick Anthony Brewer, 53, of Wind Gap, smiled as he drove off with his McDonald's order -- after he allegedly exposed himself from the waist down to three female employees, all juveniles.

An older man with gray hair and glasses smiled before driving off with his order from the drive-thru window of McDonald’s outside Wind Gap. But Patrick Anthony Brewer, 53, of Wind Gap was not a typical customer of the fast-food giant. According to court records: The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon, but Plainfield Township police did not get involved until about 24 hours after it happened, the records say. Brewer was arraigned Thursday night and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. A criminal complaint filed by township officer Scott Zabriskie says he was dispatched to the McDonald’s shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday for an indecent exposure incident. Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Plainfield Township Teen

Thomas J. Ceraul, 42, of Wind Gap, is accused of sexually assaulting a girl from Plainfield Township on four separate occasions in 2009 and 2010.

A Wind Gap man is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl from Plainfield Township on four separate occasions in 2009 and 2010, according to court records. Thomas J. Ceraul, 42, of 561 W. Center St., is facing multiple felony sex crime charges including statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse. He was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail on Wednesday. Each time, according to the arrest warrant, the girl, who was 13 during the first encounter and 14 during the next three meetings, walked from her grandparents’ house, where she was staying, to a Sunoco gas station on Sullivan Trail to meet Ceraul, the court papers said. PriorityCare Wind Gap Holds Grand Opening

PriorityCare, a network of urgent care centers, held a grand opening for its new Wind Gap location with a "Celebration in Health & Wellness."

Wind Gap is now home to a new PriorityCare urgent care center. "PriorityCare is a network of urgent care centers providing quality, convenient, cost-effective medical care for non-emergency illnesses and injuries, as well as occupational health, preventive and wellness services including physicals, drug testing, and vaccinations," according to a press release. The grand opening for the 951 Male Road location was held Tuesday and those in attendance were greeted with a "Celebration in Health & Wellness."
