Patrick Brewer, 53, of Wind Gap, smiled as he drove off with his McDonald's order—after he allegedly exposed himself from the waist down to three young women who work there.
The paroled killer accused of ordering McDonald's while naked from the waist down is headed for a Northampton County courtroom. Patrick Anthony Brewer, 53, of Wind Gap, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Thursday in front of senior District Judge Sherwood R. Grigg. Also waived for Northampton County Court are three counts each of indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and harassment. Brewer, who was sent back to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail, is being represented by Charles W. Gordon of Bushkill Township, court records say. A criminal complaint filed by Plainfield Township officer Scott Zabriskie says he was dispatched to McDonald’s Aug. 29 for an indecent exposure incident. The McDonald’s is on the Route 512 …

A California man who had $31,900 in a rental car and may be living much closer to the Lehigh Valley—perhaps Monroe or Northampton counties—was found with another man Sunday afternoon inside a Plainfield Township salvage yard, according to court records. Police called a Northampton County assistant district attorney about Reginald Derrick Braddy, 29, who recommended that Braddy be charged with criminal trespass, a level-three felony, the records say. Braddy, whose address is listed as Moreno Valley, Calif., about 60 miles east of Los Angeles, was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. The other man was identified by the owner of J.F.R. Salvage as a former employee who was not authorized to be on the property. A …

Tyler J. Leighton, 19, of Plainfield Township, is charged with stalking and harassment after allegedly sending his ex-girlfriend 500 text massages within 24 hours.
A Plainfield Township man spent the 24 hours after breaking up with his girlfriend sending her about 500 text messages and was still texting her from the back of an ambulance, court records say. Police said they went to the house of Tyler J. Leighton, 19, after the ex-girlfriend and her mother said he was “suicidal” and had texted them that “he took pills and/or he was going to shoot himself,” the records say. Leighton, whose visit to his ex-girlfriend’s house prompted her to call 911, told police he never made the suicide comment and never took pills but that he was “pissed” because the ex-girlfriend—listed in the records as a juvenile—had “cheated” on him. Police described Leighton as being “very angry and upset.” He agreed with a police…

A man whose driver’s license expired almost four years ago and wasn’t even supposed to be driving because of a plea agreement is facing driving under the influence and other charges connected to an October traffic stop in Plainfield Township. Matthew Bernard Yinger, 36, an employee of Ed's Auto in Plainfield Township, is accused of falsifying receipts and collecting more than $18,000.
For more than eight months, a body shop employee at a Plainfield Township auto garage collected more than $18,000 for work he did but kept the money for himself, court records say. In fact, the owner of Ed’s Auto on Route 512 told police he didn’t discover the alleged actions of Matthew Bernard Yinger, 36, until customers told the owner they had body work done at his garage. The customers showed the owner, Eduard Klymenko, handwritten receipts signed by Yinger. The problem for Klymenko was that these receipts did not match his business receipts, the records say. Plainfield Officer Christopher Ryan said in a criminal complaint that he spoke to several customers whose vehicles were worked on by Yinger. The customers said the same thing -- …

Ian Shoemaker, 29, was apprehended three weeks after Nazareth police issued a warrant for his arrest; he is tied to vehicle break-ins that also involve a Nazareth mom and two teenage boys.
Police arrested a Nazareth man over the weekend, more than three weeks after court records said he is facing 410 criminal counts related to a vehicle break-in spree based in Nazareth. Ian Scott Shoemaker, 29, of the unit block of N. Main St., was taken into custody in Plainfield Township after claiming to be a Nebraska resident planning to take a bus back home the next day. The break-in spree, according to the records, also involved Christine Petchonka, 46, also of Nazareth, who is accused of driving her 16-year-old son and his friend, also 16, as they broke into unlocked vehicles. Shoemaker also was in the car during the spree, the records say. At the time of Petchonka’s arrest, Nazareth Police Chief Thomas Trachta estimated that $20,000 …

New Jersey man pleads guilty to one count of animal cruelty and $375 fine in Plainfield Township neglected horse case.
Fourteen of 15 animal cruelty charges were dismissed Tuesday at a hearing for a New Jersey man who allegedly had 15 injured and neglected horses and mules living on his Plainfield Township property. In an agreement in which the horses will either be released to their owners or housed at a ranch near Quakertown, Damiano Diflorio, 63, of Princeton pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty and will pay a $375 fine and court costs. "Hopefully you learned from this and won't be back again," District Judge Douglas Schlegel of Wind Gap said. Diflorio faced a fine of up to $750 for each animal and possibly 90 days in prison. He worked out a deal with Plainfield Township police and Assistant District Attorney Jim Augustine on 15 non-traffic …

Patrick Anthony Brewer, 53, of Wind Gap, smiled as he drove off with his McDonald's order -- after he allegedly exposed himself from the waist down to three female employees, all juveniles.
An older man with gray hair and glasses smiled before driving off with his order from the drive-thru window of McDonald’s outside Wind Gap. But Patrick Anthony Brewer, 53, of Wind Gap was not a typical customer of the fast-food giant. According to court records: The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon, but Plainfield Township police did not get involved until about 24 hours after it happened, the records say. Brewer was arraigned Thursday night and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. A criminal complaint filed by township officer Scott Zabriskie says he was dispatched to the McDonald’s shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday for an indecent exposure incident. The McDonald’s is on the Route 512 retail strip that is …

With a .22 BAC, Steven M. Fehr, 43, not only admitted to stealing the car he had just wrecked in Plainfield Township, but also the Ruger .380 in his possession.
A rollover crash in a stolen vehicle. A breath test for alcohol measuring almost three times the legal limit. Possessing a stolen handgun and having a criminal record. Those allegations have resulted in a long list of charges against a Bethlehem man involved in a crash Wednesday night in the West Bangor section of Plainfield Township. But a criminal complaint against Steven M. Fehr, 43, shows one thing: He was honest with police. He admitted he had been drinking. He admitted he had a Ruger .380 with him and that it wasn’t his. He admitted he had a criminal record. And according to the arresting officer, “The male also at this time stated his friend was going to be pissed because he didn’t know he took the vehicle.” The complaint, filed by …

The animals were living at Diflorio’s property at 5326 Kesslersville Road. Previous Patch stories listed Diflorio’s first name as “Dominic,” which was a mistake made in the application for a search warrant on file at District Judge Joseph Barner’s office.
