A former Lower Nazareth Township supervisor charged in a police-orchestrated prostitution sting has waived his right to a preliminary hearing, according to court records. Alan V. Dilsaver, 56, of the 300 block of Hillview Drive, Lower Nazareth, was among the five men and one woman charged in a sting at a cooperating Hanover Township, Northampton County, hotel. Police say Dilsaver answered an Internet advertisement on Dec. 14 and offered an undercover Northampton County sheriff’s deputy money for sexual acts. By waiving his preliminary hearing Monday in front of District Judge Robert Hawke, Dilsaver's misdemeanor charge of patronizing prostitutes will now be handled in Northampton County Court.
