Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band Nabs 2012 Pa. State Championship

The Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band captures the 2012 USBands Pennsylvania State Championship in the Group 4 Open category, finishing with an overall score of 94.45.

The award-winning Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band continued its stellar fall competition season by capturing the 2012 USBands Pennsylvania State Championship at West Chester University. After the band's Nov. 3 win, it marched on to a third-place finish -- among 13 bands -- at the national competition at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The band's 2012 show is titled "Fabric of Time" and competes in the Group 4 Open category. More than 700 bands nationwide, including the Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band, belong to the United States Band Association. Bands compete at two levels: A and Open. Blue Eagle Marching Band Places 1st at Perkiomen Competition

The Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band placed 1st in the 'Music in the Valley' marching band competition at Perkiomen Valley High School on Sept. 22.

The award-winning Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band took on fall competition season the only way it knows how: During Perkiomen Valley's competition, according to band/guard mom and historian Tricia Ferreira, band members faced less-than-desirable weather. "It was a windy and cloudy evening as the Nazareth Blue Eagle Marching Band took to the field and entered into competition," Ferreira wrote in an e-mail to Patch. "The band did not underestimate the weather and was prepared to give a proud performance and also dazzle the crowd."
