Intoxicated Woman Pulled Knife on Husband, Police Say

A Wind Gap man came home from work Feb. 12 and found his wife “passed out on the couch from drinking,” court records say. He woke her up and “confronted” her about her drinking and a “secret” cell phone. The wife then went “crazy,” the husband told police, and began punching and kicking him, the records say. She “reportedly pulled a knife” on him, and at this point he and their juvenile son went into a bedroom and locked the door “for safety,” according to court records. Police eventually arrived—this was around 4:15 p.m.—and the wife, Janice Klimek, 37, was arrested and later charged with simple assault and harassment.
