On this day, in the Nazareth area, you can safely dispose of unwanted or unused prescription drugs by taking them to: Police officers will accept controlled, non-controlled and over-the-counter medications. Before handing over unwanted prescriptions, remove any personal information from bottles or packages that contain medications. Liquid products and creams in containers will be accepted. Man Sold Cocaine in Giant Parking Lot, Police Say

Tadd M. Hutchison, 26, of Moore Township, allegedly sold two bags of cocaine, each containing .89 grams, to a confidential police informant in the parking lot of the Giant strip mall in Lower Nazareth.

A Moore Township man is accused of selling cocaine to a confidential police informant in the parking lot of the Giant strip mall in Lower Nazareth Township, according to court papers. Tadd M. Hutchison, 26, of 58 Shady Road, allegedly sold two bags of cocaine, each containing .89 grams, for $100 on June 3, the arrest affidavit says. The results of a state police lab test of the substance in the plastic bags was returned to Colonial Regional Police on Sept. 11, the affidavit says. Hutchison was arrested Thursday and charged with delivery of cocaine, possession with intent to deliver cocaine and simple possession of cocaine. He was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Barner and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Why so long for an arrest, if the incident happened on June 3, 2012- the test results for proof back on September 11, 2012- and he was just arrested on Thursday- the last week of March 2013- That is CRAZY! Nazareth Councilman Pleads Guilty to Public Drunkenness, Records say

Christian Audenried, Nazareth's newest councilman, pleaded guilty to a summary charge of public drunkenness on Jan. 24, court records say.

Nazareth's newest councilman has pleaded guilty to a summary charge of public drunkenness, according to court records. Records also indicate Christian Audenried, who spent more than 10 years on the Nazareth Area School Board, paid a $172.50 fine. One day after Audenried took his newly appointed seat on Nazareth Borough Council, he was allegedly found slumped behind the wheel of his car with a bottle of vodka nearby, according to police. According to Colonial Regional Police Chief Roy Seiple, an officer was dispatched to the area of 859 Nazareth Pike -- Giant Food Stores -- for a report of a 911 hang-up. Philadelphia Man Allegedly Gave Cousin's Name to Dodge Arrest

It wasn't until a Philadelphia man was fingerprinted that a central booking official realized he was lying to Colonial Regional Police about his identity.

At first, a Philadelphia man succeeded in convincing local officials he was someone else – namely, his cousin. He told a Colonial Regional police officer who detained him outside a Lower Nazareth supermarket Saturday morning he was Ali Harry Johnson and is wanted on a warrant issued out of Fountain Hill. The Lehigh County Sheriff’s Department picked him up, took him to central booking in Allentown and booked him under the name Ali Harry Johnson. That was before he was fingerprinted. The Colonial Regional officer later got a call from a sheriff’s deputy. The man in custody is not Ali Harry Johnson, he said, but Quinn Antonio Ball, who’s wanted on warrants out of Philadelphia. Customers of PPL Electric Utilities who are still experiencing a power outage due to Hurricane Sandy can receive free ice and water from Giant Food Stores in Lower Nazareth Township and Weis Markets, 1309 Blue Valley Drive, Pen Argyl. PPL customers may receive up to three 10-pound bags of ice and three gallons of water daily. Just identify yourself as a PPL Electric Utilities customer at the time of purchase. As of 4:50 p.m., according to PPL's outage map, there are 2,209 customers in Upper Nazareth, Bushkill and Plainfield townships without power.
