This is such nonsense. How many thousands of running races, big and small, are held around theRead More country every year where attendees have backpacks and nothing ever happens. Then there's one incident where a bomb was in a backpack and everyone hyper-reacts. Women are going to have to get used to just carrying wallets around like men, because it's easy to predict the first shopping mall to ban purses 'in the name of safety'.

Recession? Headed for another depression? Technically we climbed out of the recession in 2009Read More although conditions were tough for year and later in 2010 the economy returned to normal operating capacity.

Oh stop with the over dramatization of things regarding bags. My god the event is not just likeRead More many of the other races around the country. It's much more compact then Boston and has more participants. What a bunch of whiners.

@inerested by stander, I have zero problem with living across from Lehigh's Goodman campus. TheyRead More take beautiful care of their properties. It is the lowlifes who take advantage of the free space, visits to camp, attendance at soccer matches that ruin it. I am not saying everyone, I am saying lowlifes, you know who you are. @ Carol unfortunatly you don't know what you are talking about. We have had visitors to Eagles camp park in our cul de sac every year of camp. Maybe they don't want to be stuck in the traffic leaving camp, maybe they don't want to pay to park, I don't know why they do it. I do know that one year when they had a special day for kids I had nine people park on my driveway at my invitaition. They all were coming into the cul de sac because traffic was so backed up they were already missing some of what was happening for their kids. There was no where left to park in our cul de sac. Please don't tell me you know about these things. I am here every day, I am sure you are not. Sorry to dissapiont you, but our neighborhood is not a gated community. We are normal people with normal homes. I was born and raised in a city and would go back in a heart beat if I could convince my husband, I like living in a concrete jungle, so no, I have no problem with "city" people. I do have a problem with lowlifes who don't care about the carbon footprint they leave behind. Hate to break your heart, but I have never gone to musikfest so why don't you shut up about it.

First of all, pigs eat veggies and fruit. "Slop" is in cartoons. Second, they live inRead More their own feces because we choose to force them to. Pigs are naturally clean animals; the reason they bathe in mud is for a natural sunscreen because they cannot sweat. Living in their own feces makes them very sick. Have you ever gone to an animal sanctuary? Pigs play with toys, raise their young, roll over for belly rubs, do tricks, walk on leashes, and come to their own names just like dogs. They are the fourth most intelligent animals on Earth. Have you seen this? This is what a modern pig's life is like because of ignorant, uneducated humans. Please don't argue anymore until you've watched. http://www.meatvideo.com/

You do realize "National Pig Day" was created by Animal activists, right?

There are too many prima donnas referees in today’s youth sports. Certain officials only careRead More about the tax free dollar they are making. Once they put on the striped shirt, the ego trip of power occurs. A parent or a fan cannot criticize or they might get offended. There were many times I expressed my opinion on the referee’s decision, but after the event, I forget about it. Some referees will hold a grudge against you or your child. Most fans state their displeasure by questioning the calls without any threats to the officials. Fans get upset when the officials are inconsistent and arrogant. Maybe officials need to start claiming their income for tax purposes. This might weed out some of the poor officiating in the future.
GREG L February 26, 2013 at 10:23 pm
I'd have to say that I've witnessed ref's holding grudges also, but I have to say that I've observedRead More more fans misbehaving than ref's. No, ref's aren't perfect and they will miss some calls but oftentimes fan displeasure at ref's or players can just go overboard.

Congratulations to Callahan for manning up and apologizing: In an email, Callahan said he shouldRead More have handled "the incident better no matter how I felt about the calls made during the match" and said he respects that the referee, Dennis Buchman, has "the right to call the match the way he sees it." As I said before, during a match the ref's word is law.

I am thinking that when you are the mayor, you should realize that you need to be WAY under theRead More radar. THere are lots of other fans who can let the ref know. I realize that it is human nature to react....but when you are a public figure you need to always be "on" in public and realize that you are the example of great citizen and should treat others the way you want them to treat YOU, when you do MANY MANY things that others do not like and find wrong. Lack of self control in public, makes one wonder to what extent there is much self control in private.
Staberdearth February 27, 2013 at 05:32 pm
