Last night I dined out with a group of friends to celebrate one of our birthdays. We waited on drink refills and to place an order for a few bottles of wine for about 15 minutes after we ate our appetizers. We then waited about 15 minutes to place our dinner order. We were sitting and talking over some wine and asked the "manager" if she could check on our food because it was at least 45 minutes after we placed an order sandwiches. In a very defensive manner the "manager" came out and said something to the effect of the ticket time says 31 minutes, that is about right for orders, and believe it or not sandwiches take longer sometimes than entrees. We then let the manager know that there must've been a mistake that we had been waiting at this point for well over an hour for food. Again, the "manager"in a very defensive way said "i'm just playing devils advocate my waitress said she put your order in right away" We were not looking for anything but an apology, and our food. She yelled at me in front of a dining room full of customers who had come in after us and were finished dining before we even got our SANDWICHES.She(the "manager" continued to argue with me and not even care that something clearly was wrong. Never were we checked on to see if we were okay by our waitress and the "manager" never came back to check for quality. I'm not saying the customer is always right, I'm simply saying that a positive attitude and some customer service skills are necessary for the business.
