Part of the Rotary International organization, the Rotary Club of Nazareth was chartered in 1927 and currently meets at the Moravian Square Retirement Community every Tuesday night. The club seeks to promote unity with other member clubs and advance the Rotary International's message of world peace. Fundraisers are held throughout the year with proceeds going to such local organizations as the Nazareth YMCA, the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity, the Nazareth Area Food Bank and the Moravian Historical Society. The club also offers scholarship opportunities for seniors graduating from Nazareth Area High School. The current president is Mr. John Schwartz.
