I'm not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from (perhaps the owners themselves are posting them) because visiting Footlights yesterday was the single worst shopping experience of my life. First off, the store is dark, dingy, and cramped. Secondly, there was an unfriendly dog wandering around the store, which was startling to see, as a customer, and can't be sanitary in general. When it came time to actually try on bridal dresses, I was astonished to see the curtain for the dressing room was entirely sheer, not to mention the fact that the employees kept coming in unannounced -while I was undressed!! In terms of service, I was also disappointed, as the owner kept bringing in dresses which were the exact OPPOSITE of what I had asked for. As she laced me into the dress, she and the other employees had a conversation about how much they hated lacing people into dresses! Way to make your customer feel guilty... Then, when I thought the experience couldn't get any worse, the owner asked me to step into a pair of shoes that looked 10 years old. The insides of the shoes were literally CAKED with brown gunk from hundreds of other customer's feet being inside them. When I asked if I could just wear my own flip flops, she told me no because the dress needed to be "elevated" so it wouldn't drag (this is just a sample, which the employees proceeded to drag across the floor anyway.) If you want a quality experience and dress, I HIGHLY recommend staying away from Footlights!!

I got my prom dress from Footlights this year and I was surprised how many beautiful dresses were in the store. They helped me find my dress, size and color that I wanted. Everyone was so nice and it was a very positive experience. The dresses at footlights are all kept clean and made sure none of the dresses get ruined unlike other prom stores i've been to. The prom dress that I got is by Dave and Johnny, it's everything I wanted in a dress.
I purchased my senior prom dress this year at Footlights & Co. I went into several dress places and Footlights & Co. was the best, i felt comfortable in the boutique as soon as i walked in the door. Footlights had such a magnificent variety of dresses, and i knew I'd find my dress there. They keep there dresses organized and well kept, so you know your not purchasing a damaged dress. The service was great also! Gina & Gina the owners, were so patient and helpful finding the perfect dress for me. After trying on several dresses i finally found the perfect gold dress, with the help of Gina. I would definitely buy all my dresses at Footlights for now on and i highly recommend it to everyone! I'm so glad i had such a great experience at Footlights & Co, i can not wait for prom night!
We finally got our chance to shop and buy our girls prom dresses at Footlights. It was a wonderful experience. We felt extremely comfortable purchasing our dresses there because there store has over 600 prom dresses, all in good condition and no outrageous prices, nothing over $400. The thing that shocked me, however, was the manner in which the adult customers acted in such a childish manner and their lack of respect towards the owners and other customers in their store, by making rude comments and their distainful attitudes. After all, Footlights is a boutique not a corner bar. If Footlights were a bar, these types of customers would've been asked to leave.
The dresses are nice, but very very expensive, 300-600 range. The owner is VERY picky about customers touching them, you have to wipe hands before going in, take off all jewelry and shoes, and you have to let them put the dress on and take it off of you. It was a TOTAL INVASION OF PRIVACY. One of the workers would barge right into my changing room. Speaking of changing rooms, (if you can even call it that), they are a small square, with a sheer curtain that opens in the middle. I had no privacy, other customers walked by it, and as I said the workers came right in. I understand they want their dresses in good condition, but do not rip the dress off me leaving me standing naked for the whole freaking store to see. I tried a dress on with my bra and they told me to take it off. I was disgusted by their lack of class and privacy. Do not go here unless you're comfortable prancing around the store naked.
Footlights is definitely the best dress store I have ever been to. The service is great; the owners and employees really know exactly what they are doing. You must take off jewelry and wash your hands before you try on your dress, but this assured me that my dress would be in top quality. In other stores it seemed chaotic with dresses all over and getting destroyed by customers. Footlights is a totally different experience. I purchased both my prom dresses here and did not even consider looking anywhere else for my senior proms. My best friends also got their dresses here and I suggest it to everyone I know!
I love Footlights. They have always been there for every event that I've needed a dress for whether it be Prom, a party, homecoming, or my own Sweet 16. I've been to other dress stores with my friends and none of those compare to the beautiful dresses I've found at footlights. The owners really care about finding you the perfect dress and they always are happy to help. I also love how well they take care of their dresses. After the first time I went to Footlights, I never considered another dress store because they are truly a one stop shop. I can always count on them for a perfect dress!
beautiful dresses. It is true that you had to remove jewlery and wipe hands with a wipe but that is not a bad idea. My 18 yr old daughter actually told me she thought it was a good idea and felt good about buying her dress from a store that cared about their product. I did not feel that they were rude at all. THey must be doing something right...they were very crowded with people making purchases......jp
Pretty dress that are cramped into a tiny store that one really has no space to view theirself when trying things on. One of the owners just goes on and on how they have the most beautiful clothes in the Lehigh Valley, and she severely critical in her opinion about other botiques in the area particulary Sandra's. I would not want to be in the store alone with women because she smells of booze that claims people don;t know how to dress, yet she wears the same dress everyday.
Employee we dealt with was a little eccentric, but the dresses are beautiful and the prices are average for these types of formal wear. Great selection and if you need a gown when it is not Prom season, as we did, it was a great resource. Will go back at Prom time at least to look.
Beautiful dresses, but rude service. A specific employee (one of the owners) is very "uppity" and overdramatic about their products. They require you to remove ALL body jewelry and then use baby wipes on you before allowing you to try the dresses on. Basically, if you're looking for a beautiful dress but not willing to put up with nasty employees and very high prices, don't go to Footlights.

My friend informed me of her recent trip to Footlights. I am horrified by the rudeness she had to endure and the general atmosphere. Upon entering the store, the owner assumes she is a boy and tells immediately her that they do not sell tuxedos here. On top of this, the store was cluttered and difficult to move in. Would not recommend anyone shop here.
