Registration Open for 3rd Annual Curt’s Cyclery Century

Registration is now open for the 3rd annual Curt’s Cyclery Century, to be held on Saturday, June 9.

The 3rd annual Curt’s Cyclery Century -- C³ for short -- will be held on Saturday, June 9, and registration is now open.

The first 34 registrants will receive a free event T-shirt. Go to curtscyclery.com for the registration form.

The fee to register is $20 -- $25 if registered on the day of the event. Proceeds will benefit .

During the event, cyclists are given a 10-mile route that begins and ends at , which is owned by Dee and Curt Miller.

The event isn't a race -- it's a ride. Cyclists can do as many laps as they'd like, as quickly or as slowly as they'd like, and they can bike for as many as 10 laps, which equals 100 miles -- "a century" in the bike industry.

In 2011, for each lap a rider completed, the cycle shop donated $1 to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

For each completed lap, the riders also received a ticket for prize drawings. Largely donated by local businesses, the prizes included memberships to Nazareth Barbell and Snap Fitness; gift cards from , , Your Best Little Hair House and Curt’s Cyclery, and a $125 gift basket from  in Bath.

Returning this year will be Jeff Lenosky, a professional stunt rider for Giant. Lenosky wowed spectators during the 2nd annual  as he bunny hopped his mountain bike up and down platforms and across diamond-shaped bars.

Curt’s Cyclery was opened 40 years ago on Main Street in Nazareth by Curt’s father. Today, it is on Bath Pike (Route 248), and sells bicycles by Giant, Orbea, Haro and Eastern.
