Historical Society to Hold Fundraising Dinner

The Moravian Historical Society is taking reservations for the 6th annual "Share the Heritage" fundraising dinner, which will be held on Friday, March 23.

The will hold its 6th annual “Share the Heritage” fundraising dinner on March 23 and is taking reservations.

Pre-paid reservations are required as seating is limited. The festivities start at 6 p.m. at the .

The signature dinner is a unique celebratory event that honors the society’s mission and efforts while commemorating the Civil War. The dinner and dessert selections are inspired by period recipes.

“It is very exciting to celebrate the society’s hard work with the community,” said Megan van Ravenswaay, the director of the Whitefield House. “We look forward to this event each year as the support of our mission continues to grow."

There are four levels of support:

  • $60 per guest.
  • $150 Dixie Sponsor includes two tickets and a mention in the program.
  • $300 Union Sponsor includes four tickets, a mention in the program, one bottle of champagne for the table, and four raffle tickets.
  • $600 Gettysburg Sponsor includes eight tickets, a mention in the program, two bottles of champagne for the table, and eight raffle tickets.

All of the proceeds help the society to preserve and share history.

Along with music from the Federal City Brass Band, guests can mingle with local re-enactors. They will also get to experience a moving speech from President Abraham Lincoln.

Dress is festive business casual and guests are encouraged to wear Civil War colors or costumes.
