The and the audience at Monday's school board meeting got a sneak preview of “Singin' in the Rain,” the musical that will be performed next month at .
The cast and ensemble of the musical theater classic performed two songs, including the finale made famous by Gene Kelly in the film version. The film -- frequently cited as one of the best musicals ever -- was adapted into a stage musical in 1983.
Smiles filled the room as the young performers belted out the well-known musical numbers.
Nazareth will present "Singin’ In The Rain" in the high school auditorium on:
- April 20 and 21 at 7:30 p.m.
- April 22 at 2 p.m.
- April 27 and 28 at 7:30 p.m.
- April 29 at 2 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to charity.
The school will participate in the annual -- a competition for high school musicals in the region -- for the first time this year.
