Nazareth School Electricity Shut Down

Schools ordered to shut off electricity

With temperatures soaring Wednesday, Nazareth school officials decided it was time to power down.

Schools Superintendent Dennis Riker sent out a notice ordering schools to turn off their electricity due to warm temperatures Wednesday.

All three elementary schools turned off power at 2:30 p.m. with the middle school at 2:45 p.m. and high school at 2:50 p.m.

The Intermediate School's power was not turned off, Riker said.

After school programs and Back to School Night were continuing, the superintendent said.
