Catholic Schools Week Starts Sunday

Local Catholic schools have a number of events planned.

The Archdiocese of Allentown will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week beginning Sunday and extending through Feb. 1.

This year's national theme is "Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service."

The Archdiocese of Allentown has 38 elementary schools and seven high schools, and boasts on its website that 97% of its graduates go on to college.

Catholic Schools Week is an annual celebration of the values-centered, faith-filled education that students receive in Catholic elementary, secondary and special-education schools, according to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
