Upper Nazareth Township Extends Yard Waste Facility Hours

Township drop-off facility will be open extra hours this week as residents continue to clean up after Hurricane Irene.

has extended its yard waste facility hours this week to assist township residents in their cleanup from Hurricane Irene.

Hours of operation will be from 8am to 2pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, according to township supervisor Scott Sylvainus.

The center will be closed Friday, but will open from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, Sylvainus added.

The facility is at the township's maintenance building, 155 Friedenstahl Ave. -- across the street from the .

Proof of residency is required for all township residents who plan to drop off yard waste and debris.

For residents, the borough’s yard waste facility is on G.W. Stoudt Boulevard.

Hours of operation -- which have not changed -- are 11am to 7pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday, and 1pm to 6pm on Sunday. The facility is open to Nazareth residents only.

For residents, the township's yard waste facility is at 4600 Newburg Road -- look for the green signs near W. Gremar Road.

The facility is open:

  • The third Saturday of the month from 8am to 1pm. No appointments necessary.
  • Mondays OR Fridays from 9am to 3pm. Appointments required.
