Tell Us: Should Upper Nazareth Switch to Single Trash Hauler?

Residents in Upper Nazareth Township could soon have their garbage collected by a single trash hauler.

That's according to the Express-Times, which reports that township supervisors voted Wednesday—over the objections of residents—to seek bids from trash companies, one of which will become Upper Nazareth's sole hauler.

Once the bids come in, the supervisors will have to choose a new company.

In the past, supervisors have pointed to the results of a survey sent to residents in which they listed choice of haulers as their least pressing concern when it came to trash pick-up.

At the top of the survey: cost.

What do you think? Do you want to be able to choose your own trash hauler? Or are you happy with the township's decision. Tell us in the comments.
