Nazareth Resolves Parking Issues

Nazareth Borough Council approves some motions that ease some parking in downtown district.

The Nazareth Borough Council tried to clear up some parking issues at its May monthly meeting.

The council approved a motion to vote on an ordinance prohibiting parking on the west side of S. Broad Street between Meeser and Bacon streets.

The advertised ordinance will be amended to eliminate the placing of a stop sign on S. Green Street at the intersection with W. Walnut Street.

A motion was also made to advertise for an ordinance to change the loading zone and removed a parking meter on the south side of Belvidere Street east of Main Street in the vicinity of Nazareth Daycare.

Council also approved a motion for a handicapped parking space at 40 South St. for Beth Lasson.

A motion was also approved for the use of the pavilion by the grandstand on Aug. 4 from 6 to 10 p.m.
