Meet State Rep. Joe Emrick for Breakfast

On Friday, Aug. 26, State Rep. Joe Emrick, R-137th, will hold his third town-hall breakfast in his district. This one will be at the  and it starts at 7:30am.

"[These meetings are] important because I need to make sure I have completely open communication with my constituents and continue to hear from them their primary concerns and issues that they face," Emrick wrote in an email. "They are designed for me to convey my specific positions and beliefs on issues."

The last town-hall breakfast was in Forks Township and covered issues such as the , , education, , , and the  industry.

Emrick was chairman of the Upper Nazareth supervisors before running for state office. He graduated from Bangor High School and earned a bachelor's degree in history and secondary education from Lycoming College. He later earned a master's degree in education from Kutztown University, according to his website.
