Lehigh Valley Air Quality Warning Issued for Dec. 31

Anyone sensitive to air pollution should limit outdoor exertion

Warmer temperatures may be tempting but Lehigh Valley residents sensitive to air pollution should limit their outdoor activity Friday, according to the Air Quality Partnership's website.

The temperature will rise into the mid- to upper 40s and skies will be partly sunny. But weather conditions, particles in the air and ozone levels will be such that a "Code Orange" alert has been issued by air quality monitors.
