Woman Skipped Out on $5,000 Hotel Bill, Police Say

Ivelisse Politan, 47, was evicted from the TownePlace Suites in Lower Nazareth for allegedly failing to pay a $5,052 bill.

An Easton woman evicted from TownePlace Suites has been charged with skipping out on her $5,000 bill, according to Colonial Regional Police.

Ivelisse Politan, 47, turned herself in Monday by meeting police at District Judge Joseph Barner’s office. She was charged with theft of services -- a level-three felony -- and released on $7,500 unsecured bail.

Police say Politan checked into the Lower Nazareth Township hotel -- which is known as an extended stay hotel -- in June 2012.

The hotel’s management contacted Colonial Regional Police on Jan. 21, requesting Politan be charged with theft of services.

But Politan’s troubles don’t stop there:

  • On Jan. 15, according to court records, the Wilson Boro Police Department charged Politan with retail theft.
  • Colonial Regional Police charged Politan with four counts of theft by deception and one count of retail theft. The offense date is listed as Aug. 1, 2012. This case is awaiting trial, court records say.
