Woman Allegedly Shoplifts from Wal-Mart, Kohl's

Stefanie Gresiak of Saylorsburg allegedly tried to steal items from two Lower Nazareth Township stores in the same night.

A Saylorsburg woman pushed her luck too far when she allegedly tried to steal items from two stores in the same night, but was caught during her second attempt, according to .

Police were called to the in on March 26 around 7:30 p.m.

Stefanie Gresiak, 48, police say, allegedly selected several items of clothing and headed for the dressing room.

When she left the dressing room, according to police, the store's loss prevention staff noticed that Gresiak was wearing the clothes she had selected from the store racks. She also concealed some of the items in stolen hand bags and in a shopping bag, according to police.

Gresiak then passed all points of sale and exited the store without paying for the items. She was stopped outside the store by loss prevention staff.

During the investigation, Colonial Regional officers found stolen merchandise from the Lower Nazareth Wal-Mart in her vehicle.

Gresiak was arraigned before and charged with two counts of retail theft.

She was sent to in lieu of $3,500 bail.

This isn't Gresiak's first retail theft charge. In December 2007, according to court records, the Palmer Township Police Department charged Gresiak with retail theft and receiving stolen property. Then, in January 2008, the same police department charged her with retail theft and conspiracy - retail theft.

Most recently, in Oct. 2011, Gresiak faced a retail theft charge in Wind Gap, but it was withdrawn.
