Woman Accused of Stealing Over $200 in Jewelry from Kohl's

Josefa Urena, 44, of Bethlehem is accused of trying to steal more than $200 worth of jewelry from Kohl's in Lower Nazareth Township.

say a Bethlehem woman tried to steal more than $200 worth of jewelry from a department store.

According to court records, Josefa Urena, 44, of the 700 block of E. Washington Avenue, was spotted Sunday afternoon putting jewelry into her bag at the in the Northampton Crossings shopping center.

Police say Urena was spotted by store security, who then alerted police. The jewelry Urena attempted to leave the store with -- 14 pieces in all -- were valued at $273. She was arraigned before District Judge Richard Yetter and charged with retail theft.
