Wind Gap Woman Killed in Crash

State Police at Belfast report that a Wind Gap woman was killed in crash off Route 611 Wednesday morning.

A Wind Gap woman was killed Wednesday morning after she lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree in Lower Mount Bethel Township, state police at Belfast are reporting.

Miechelle L. Keller, 27, died on the scene of the crash off Route 611, a police report states.

Keller was heading north when she lost control near Terri Lane, went into the shoulder and struck a tree, causing the vehicle to go airborne, police said.

She was ejected through the sunroof of the vehicle. The vehicle continued through the air before striking a tree with the passenger side, police said.

The vehicle then landed and came to a rest halfway down the embankment, the report states.

Suburban EMS responded to the crash, which happened at 12:49 a.m. Wednesday.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
