Three Injured in Lower Nazareth Crash

The crash involved two vehicles on Route 33 Sunday.

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Lower Nazareth Township, state police have reported.

The crash happened at 10:53 a.m. Sunday on northbound Route 33, state police at Belfast said in a press release.

A Chevrolet Impala driven by Philip C. Freiler, 75, was northbound on Route 33 when traffic slowed for unknown reasons, police said.

A Honda Civic driven by Sharon Morgan, 43, braked and was able to stop, however, Freiler was not and struck the back of Morgan's car, police said.

The two and Rita Freiler suffered injuries of unknown severity, police said.

They were transported by Suburban EMS and Bethlehem Township emergency crews to St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem. The Palmer Township Volunteer Fire Company also responded.

All were wearing lap and shoulder seat belts.
