What is it like being a firefighter?

"It’s not something to take lightly. It’s a very involved job physically and mentally.”

What is your favorite thing about being a firefighter?

“My favorite thing? I’m giving back to the community.”

What made you decide to become a firefighter?

“My father is the one that got me into this… He got involved in it, and I took an interest.”

How do your loved ones feel about you putting your life on the line?

“They support me with everything I do… [Dustin] loves the fire trucks. He points [them out] to people.”

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the department?

“It takes patience on the family’s part… It’s something you need to stick with.”
