A state trooper's vehicle was almost struck on Route 33 by another vehicle, leading to a DUI charge, state police said.

Jamie Lynn Rummel, 36, of Lords Valley in Pike County, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following the incident at 3:36 a.m. Friday, state police at Belfast reported.

Rummel was heading south in the right lane of Route 33 at Route 248 in Lower Nazareth Township when she drove her vehicle into the left lane where Trooper Seth Kelly was driving, a press release stated.
