Senior Citizen Assaulted, Police Seek Public's Assistance
Nazareth police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a 16- to 19-year-old male who assaulted a senior citizen Thursday night.
Nazareth police say a senior citizen was assaulted around 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of N. Main and E. North streets.
According to police, the vicitim -- who was not identified -- was knocked to the ground and was kicked, causing a knee injury. He refused medical treatment.
No weapons were displayed during the brief tussle, according to Police Chief Thomas Trachta.

The male, who is white, is described as being:
- 16 to 19 years old
- 5'10" to 6'
- 150 to 180 pounds
The male's hairstyle is a short crew cut, and he was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, long blue shorts, and sneakers that were blue and gold.

He was last seen heading south -- on foot -- on Main Street.
According to Trachta, a group of teenagers standing near E. North and N. Broad streets were questioned, identified and released.
