Purse Snatchers Turn Themselves In

Two Bangor men called police after seeing a photo of themselves published in multiple media outlets.

Two Bangor men suspected of in the parking lot of in Lower Nazareth Township have turned themselves in, according to .

Police say Justin Malazzo, 22, of Ridge Road, and Kevin Loren, 25, of S. Main Street, called the police department on Jan. 8 after seeing a photo of themselves published in multiple media outlets.

According to police, both men admitted their involvement in the theft of the purse.

Police Chief Roy Seiple said it is unusual for individuals to turn themselves in, but it does happen. 

“I remember one time I was sitting at the Westgate Mall on patrol,” Seiple said.  “A guy had stolen a car, pulled up next to me and admitted he stole the car.”

Malazzo was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Barner and was released on $1,500 unsecured bail.  Loren’s charges were mailed through Barner’s office.
