Police: Teen Hoping to Score Pot Reports Man Took Her Money

After the Lower Nazareth Township drug deal went sour, the Bethlehem area teen is facing charges of making false reports to police and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 17-year-old female called the police to report she was robbed in the parking lot of in , but it's not the robber who's in trouble, according to .

The teen, police say, was attempting to purchase marijuana from an unknown person. That person took the girl's money, left the area and didn't come back.

The teen, whose name was not released because of her age, was arrested and released to her parents. Her hometown is listed as the "Bethlehem area" in a press release from Colonial Regional.

She will be charged with making false reports to police and possession of drug paraphernalia. These charges will be filed through the Northampton County Juvenile Probation Department.
