Police: NYC Men Tried to Steal Bundle of Cardboard

Three New York City men are accused of trying to steal a bundle of cardboard from behind the Target in Lower Nazareth Township.

Three men from New York City were arrested early Wednesday for allegedly trying to steal a bundle of cardboard from behind the in .

According to court records, caught the three men -- Norberto DeJesus, 30, Manhattan; Joel Gonzalez, 22, the Bronx, and Jorge Surita, 43, the Bronx -- loading the cardboard into a panel truck around 1:40 a.m.

When questioned, the men said they had found the cardboard somewhere else, but gave different accounts of where. The cardboard was only valued at $50, police said.

Gonzalez and Surita were charged with theft. They posted 10 percent of $5,000 bail and were released from Northampton County Prison.

There was no updated information on DeJesus.
