Police: Man Punched, Threatened with Knife at Boro-Park

An 18-year-old Bushkill Township man allegedly punched another man through an open car window and threatened him with a knife during an altercation at Nazareth Boro-Park.

An 18-year-old man is facing simple assault and related charges after he allegedly threatened another man with a knife at on Tuesday, according to borough police.

There were no injuries, according to Police Chief Thomas Trachta.

Nicholas Fry, of the 200 block of E. Mountain Road, was arraigned before and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count each of simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.

Fry is free on $7,500 unsecured bail.

According to a police criminal complaint:

The victim and two witnesses arrived at the around 5:45 p.m. to report an assault that occurred around 5 p.m.

The victim was sitting in the back seat of a black BMW sedan at the Nazareth Boro-Park when Fry approached the vehicle and punched the victim through an open window while yelling obscenities.

Fry then brandished a knife, the victim said, and thrust it toward the man’s torso.

The driver of the BMW drove away and headed for the Nazareth Borough Police Department.

The court documents do not say what may have sparked the altercation.
