Police Charge 2nd Man in NCC Armed Robbery

Kieara Anthony Williams, 22, of Allentown is the second man to be charged in the September armed robbery of two other men on Northampton Community College's main campus.

A second man has been charged in the September armed robbery of two other men on Northampton Community College’s Bethlehem Township campus.

Kieara Anthony Williams, 22, of Allentown is accused of choking one of the men before he and his alleged accomplice stole two cell phones and a key fob. He then fled on foot, court records say.

The alleged accomplice, Darrius Webb, who turned 21 recently and is also from Allentown, is accused of being the gunman.

Unlike Williams, who was at large for more than four months, Webb was captured shortly after the incident, driving the men’s car, the records say.

A criminal complaint filed by township Patrolman Andrew Keyock includes details of what happened the night of Sept. 27.

The victims told police they met Webb in the NCC parking lot. Webb and Williams eventually got into back seat of the victims’ car.

Webb produced a handgun -- a Beretta Model 21A .25-caliber handgun that had been reported stolen to Allentown police -- and pointed it at one of the victims, then placed it to the head of the other victim.

Williams reached up and choked one of the men. He and Webb then stole the cell phones and key fob -- the total value of the items was $660 -- from the victims’ pockets.

Williams fled on foot. Webb left the car, but returned to one of the men and with the gun drawn ordered him from the car. He removed an item from the back seat, then entered the Chevrolet Malibu and fled.

Police spotted the car on Farmersville Road and stopped it on Easton Avenue and took Webb into custody. Police found the Beretta in the car.

Police continued to investigate and eventually were able to identify the second man as Williams. One of the victims was shown a photo lineup on Monday and picked out Williams’ picture.

Williams, of 1429 Turner St., was charged with four counts of robbery-threat of immediate serious injury, two counts of theft by unlawful taking, and one count each of receiving stolen property and simple assault.

He was arraigned Feb. 6 by District Judge Joseph Barner of Lower Nazareth Township and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
