Police Blotter: Woman Allegedly Falsifies Application to Purchase a Firearm

The police blotter is light this week.

reported the following incidents:

  • Sale or Transfer of Firearms: Cheryl Fucci, 45, no address given, is in Northampton County Prison under $5,000 bail after she allegedly falsified an application to purchase a firearm on April 27, 2010, according to police.

    Police say Fucci went to the Sports Authority in Lower Nazareth Township and filled out an application to purchase a firearm, which was a Mossberg Maverick 12-gauge shotgun.

    On the application, police say, Fucci indicated she had never been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.  However, in 2008, Fucci plead guilty to a misdemeanor charge of domestic violence.

    Fucci was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Barner.

 

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: An Easton man is facing drug paraphernalia charges and is being investigated in connection with a theft at the Top Star Express Exxon at 216 Nazareth Pike, according to police.

    On March 18, police say, Ryan Thomas Dilts, 20, of 300 Williams St. was questioned by police regarding a theft at the Lower Nazareth Township gas station.

    Dilts allowed police to search his vehicle, where several items of marijuana-related drug paraphernalia were found, police say.

    Possession of drug paraphernalia charges will be filed through the mail, according to police, and the theft remains under investigation.

  • Retail Theft: Caitlyn Loch, 19, of Saylorsburg, is facing retail theft charges after she allegedly tried to steal several clothing, jewelry and lingerie items from Kohl’s Department Store in Lower Nazareth Township on March 14, according to police.

    Loch was observed by loss prevention staff on two occasions taking items into a fitting room and leaving without the items in hand, police say.

    Loch was stopped outside the store by loss prevention staff and a total of $182.98 worth of merchandise was found concealed in Loch’s purse, police say.

    Loch was arraigned before District Judge James Narlesky and charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property.  She was released on unsecured bail.
