Police: Bethlehem Man Accused of Asking Lower Nazareth Girl for Naked Pictures

A Bethlehem man is in Northampton County Prison under $50,000 cash bail after he allegedly text messaged two female minors and asked them to send naked pictures of themselves to him, according to .

Police say Xavier Crespo, 21, of 815 E. 5th St., solicited an 11-year-old, who is from Lower Nazareth Township, and a 15-year-old.

Police say the investigation began March 15 when the parents of the 11-year-old girl reported that they're daughter had received text messages from someone named "Xavier." He claimed to be 14, and asked her for nude photos.

On March 24, a 15-year-old girl reported that she was also in touch with Crespo. He had requested nude photos, and sent her pictures of himself. Police said the girl sent Crespo pictures of herself "in various stages of undress." He asked to meet her and threatened to "punch her face in" if she wouldn't agree, police said.

On March 23, the two did meet, and the girl performed oral sex on Crespo in an elevator in one of Lehigh University's buildings, according to a criminal complaint.

Police were able to trace the text messages back to Crespo. Both girls identified his driver's license photo as the man who had texted them.

Crespo was arraigned Friday night before District Judge Daniel Corpora of Easton and charged with two counts of criminal solicitation to commit sexual abuse of children, two counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts of corruption of a minor.
