Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle Airlifted to Hospital

The following information was supplied by Nazareth police.

 

A 55-year-old Bethlehem man was severely injured Saturday after being struck by a vehicle in the 400 block of S. Main Street, Nazareth police said.

The man, who was not identified, was airlifted to a hospital. Information on his condition Saturday night was not available.

Nazareth police said the accident occurred at 6:38 a.m. When they arrived, they found the man on the ground, to the rear of the vehicle.

The 22-year-old female driver of a vehicle also was injured, according to police. The driver said her passenger had grabbed and yanked the steering wheel of the vehicle. She said she attempted to turn it back but was not able to.
