Nazareth Woman Cooked Meth in Home, Police Say

Jaclyn Ditaranto, 21, of the 100 block of W. North St., was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail; she is facing multiple drug charges.

A Nazareth woman is facing multiple drug charges after police found items used for the manufacturing of methamphetamine in her home, according to court documents.

Jaclyn Ditaranto, 21, of the 100 block of W. North St., was arrested this morning after police found 40 packets of Sudafed, a cooking device, a plastic bladder and clear plastic bags -- items commonly used to make methamphetamine -- in an upstairs bedroom, according to court documents.

Multiple needles and a spoon coated with a white residue were also found in the bedroom.

Following a separate arrest, a man told a probation officer that the people living in his home were manufacturing methamphetamine, which led Nazareth police to obtain a search warrant, according to court documents.

Ditaranto was arraigned before and charged with one count each of manufacturing a controlled substance and recklessly endangering another person, and nine counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
