Nazareth Woman Allegedly Hid Fugitive Business Partner

A 34-year-old man, wanted since 2010, was apprehended Tuesday at a S. Broad Street apartment; the mother of his children was charged with harboring or concealing a fugitive.

Northampton County Sheriff’s deputies tracked down a fugitive -- wanted since 2010 -- living and working out of a home on the 200 block of S. Broad Street in Nazareth, and a woman at that address was charged with harboring him.

Cynthia Lee Davidson, 34, was arraigned before Wednesday and charged with harboring or concealing a fugitive, providing false statements to law enforcement and obstructing the administration of law.

The fugitive Davidson was allegedly hiding was Laurencio Alejandres, 34, who was wanted on a felony warrant for aggravated assault, according to a report in The Express-Times.

Alejandres was charged in June 2008 with punching Davidson, who was then his girlfriend, in the head and then charging at her with an axe, according to the report. On Feb. 2, 2010, a bench warrant for Alejandres was issued.

On May 5, sheriff’s deputies spoke with Davidson, who said she had limited contact with Alejandres, though he was the father of her two children. According to the complaint, Davidson said she did not know where Alejandres lived.

It was discovered, however, that Davidson and Alejandres were operating a landscaping business together. Heart and Soul Landscaping and Design had a website, the deputies found, where it stated that Davidson dealt with the business end and Laurencio, A.K.A. Lorenzo, handled the designs.

Davidson’s landlord stated that the couple lived together and rented a lot to keep the trees they used for the business.

On Tuesday, deputies saw Alejandres operating a pickup truck at Davidson’s S. Broad Street apartment. He was then taken into custody without incident, as was Davidson.
