Nazareth Students Approached by Men, Offered Candy

Anyone with information regarding the incidents should immediately contact police and the school's principal.

Dr. Victor Lesky, the superintendent of Nazareth Area School District, sent an e-mail alert and recorded phone message to parents Thursday afternoon, telling them that several students have reported being approached by two men driving a van.

The students said the men asked if they wanted candy.

There have been several variations in the description of the van:

  • Black van, with purple stripe
  • White van, with no other markings
  • Gray van, with no other markings

The e-mail did not say what schools the students attended or how many students were approached.

Lesky asks anyone with information regarding these incidents to contact police and the school's principal.

Any ID on the number of folks in the vans? I am not fond of criminals of this nature. I know you will keep us posted.
