Nazareth Meth Maker Hurt in Blast Goes to State Prison

After four months in the hospital, meth maker will now serve state prison sentence.

Clay W. Rutt, 54, said he's been using since the 1980s and was making meth for his own use when the lab in his Nazareth apartment blew up in October, according to this Express-Times report.

After four months in the hospital, Rutt is now off to state prison to serve a sentence of four and a half to nine years.

The county judge who handed down the sentence accused Rutt of "reckless and irresponsible" behavior.
