Nazareth Man Killed in Plainfield Twp. crash

Lehigh County coroner said a 45-year-old man was killed when his vehicle hit a tree Tuesday night in Plainfield Township.

A 45-year-old Nazareth man has been killed in a Plainfield Township crash, Lehigh County's coroner has announced.

Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim said the unidentified man died of multiple blunt force trauma and ruled the death an accident.

Grim did not identify the victim because next of kin need to be notified.

The crash took place at 7:08 p.m. Tuesday on Sullivan Trail when the man's vehicle struck a tree, authorities said.

The victim was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill where he was pronounced dead at 8:36 p.m., the coroner reported.
