Nazareth Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash

Accident took place on Route 33 south.

A Nazareth man was injured in a recent motorcycle crash on Route 33 in Bethlehem Township.

James Salsman, 38, of Nazareth was driving in the right lane of southbound Route 33 at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 31 when he tried to pass another vehicle on the right, state police at Belfast reported.

Police said Salsman's motorcycle lost control and went off the vehicle, coming to a rest in the right shoulder of the roadway about 420 feet from where he came in contact with the ground, police said.

Salsman suffered injuries of unknown severity, police said. He was treated at St. Luke's Fountain Hill.

He was charged with careless driving, police said.
