New Jersey Man Accused of Hiding Stolen Hot Spot Device in Pants

A 21-year-old Phillipsburg man has been charged with stealing a mobile hot spot device from Walmart in Lower Nazareth, according to Colonial Regional police.

Rashon Turner, of 206 Morris St., also has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, police said.

According to police, Turner was arrested at 10:02 p.m. Jan. 29 after allegedly concealing the mobile hot spot device in his pants and leaving the store without paying for it. After his arrest on retail theft, police allegedly found nine ziplock bags of marijuana in his coat.

Charges were to be filed through District Judge Joseph Barner's office, police said.
