Man Charged in Pool Cue Attack

Police say Justin Ziminsky of Pen Argyl struck a woman who intervened in argument.

A Pen Argyl man was jailed Saturday after allegedly hitting a woman with a pool cue at Nazareth's American Hotel.

Nazareth police said Justin Ziminsky, 23, of 435 W. Main St. was at the hotel early Friday morning when he got into an argument with another patron. When the woman, identified as Jamie Cahill, tried to intervene, police say Ziminsky attacked and threw her.

A warrant was issued for his arrest. He was arraigned before on duty District Judge Nancy Matos-Gonzalez in Bethlehem on charges of simple assault, harassment, terroristic threats and disorderly conduct. Ziminsky was sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $30,000 bail.
