A Nazareth man has been charged with assaulting his girlfriend inside a Lower Nazareth Township motel while the woman held their infant daughter on her lap, court records say.

The 3 ½-month-old girl apparently was not hurt, but her mother was injured when Drew Bennett White II, 28, punched her in the left side of the face last week, the records say.

The woman also had “multiple visible bruises” on her right eye, left forearm and upper chest. The records say those injuries came from a June 24 assault, allegedly by White.

White is accused of making reference to that Monday night, when he told his girlfriend, “don’t make me do what I did to you last week again,” the records say.

Officer Andrew Laudenslager of Colonial Regional police wrote in a criminal complaint that he was dispatched to the Nazareth Motel, 746 Nazareth Pike, Room 6, around 7:30 Monday night. Nazareth Pike is Route 191.

The complaint also said:

The officer met the girlfriend on the parking lot. She said the injuries to her right eye, left forearm and upper chest were from the June 24 incident.

She said White used his right fist to punch her around 4 p.m. Monday on the left side of her face and mouth. The punch caused a bruise and a laceration to the inside of her mouth.

She said White punched her while she sat on the edge of the bed in the motel room. She was holding their infant daughter on her lap, she told Laudenslager.

She also told the officer White then made the “don’t make me” threat.

White, whose address is listed as the Nazareth Motel, was charged with simple assault, harassment, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.

He was arraigned by on-duty District Judge Roy Manwaring of Bethlehem and committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
