Gracedale Worker Went on Drunken Food Run, Police Say

Tiffany Jacoby, 25, of Palmerton, had a .18 percent blood-alcohol content when she became lost trying to pick up food for herself and her Gracedale Nursing Home colleagues.

A Gracedale employee was arrested March 4 on drunken driving charges after she got lost—for two hours—while on a food errand.

Tiffany Jacoby, 25, of Palmerton, had a .18 percent blood-alcohol content when, at 2:22 a.m., Lower Saucon Township police spotted her parked car in the middle of a township road.

According to police, Jacoby said she was headed for Wawa to pick up food for herself and her Gracedale colleagues.

The nearest Wawa to Gracedale, the county nursing home in Upper Nazareth Township, is in nearby Lower Nazareth Township. The trip, according to MapQuest, is about three miles.

While Jacoby spoke with police, a strong odor of alcohol was detected and Jacoby showed signs of impairment.
