Four Men Arrested for Vandalizing Nazareth Boro-Park

Paintball guns were used to vandalize several buildings at the Nazareth Boro-Park.

Four men were arrested Tuesday night for allegedly vandalizing the with paintball guns the previous night, according to Nazareth Borough police.

Police say several buildings at the park, including a maintenance building, a fuel shed, two Dumpsters, a garbage can and several signs, were hit with pink paintballs.  Cost to clean the property is estimated at $500. 

At about 7 p.m. Feb. 15, the night after the vandalism took place, Officer Stephen Schleig, who was securing the park for the night, observed four men standing next to a building.

After identifying the men, who range in age from 15 to 18, Schleig recovered two paintball guns and paintballs, according to Thomas Trachta, chief of police.

According to a non-traffic citation, Patrick Lane, 18, of Lower Milford Township, deliberately shot signs at the park.  The other three men involved are juveniles and their names have not been released.

The individuals were arrested and their parents were called.  Each male received a citation for criminal mischief.  The perpetrators will be responsible for all cleanup costs, according to police.
