Fight at Nazareth Boro-Park Draws Crowd of 30

A mutual fight between two men at Nazareth Boro-Park drew a crowd of about 30 people, police say.

Nazareth police cited three men for disorderly conduct after a fight Wednesday afternoon at .

According to police, about 30 people gathered to watch the mutual fight between Connor Newman, 18, of the 100 block of E. First Street in Upper Nazareth Township and Peter Alvarez, 19, of the 4000 block of Steuben Road in .

Officer Stephen Schleig was assisted by departments from , and Tatamy. The Northampton County Sheriff’s Department also assisted.

Both men admitted to police that the fight was mutual.

Newman was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained during the fight. The police report does not indicate how severe Newman’s injuries were or which hospital he was taken to.

Also cited for disorderly conduct was Jeremy Peters, 20, of the 7000 block of Interchange Road in Lehighton.

According to police, Peters and Newman were found on High Street, running from the scene.

When officers from Bushkill approached, Peters allegedly began to use obscene language, saying, “What the **** are you doing here? This is ******* Upper Nazareth."
