Escaped Robbery Suspect in Custody, Nazareth Police Chief Says

Daniel Preziosi will be arraigned Tuesday before District Judge John Capobianco on an escape charge, police say.

Daniel Preziosi, the 24-year-old robbery suspect who escaped custody Monday, has been found and arrested, Nazareth Police Chief Thomas Trachta said.

Preziosi had apparently spent the cold night under a porch of a borough home and he was apprehended Tuesday morning when he went to warm up at the Giant on Route 248, Trachta said.

Preziosi was to be arraigned before District Judge John Capobianco on an escape charge, he said.

Preziosi escaped custody Monday following a preliminary hearing at Capobianco's office at 136 S. Main St. on charges he robbed a grocery store in his hometown of Bath.
