Ex-Gracedale Worker Accused of DUI a No-Show in Court

Woman accused of drunken driving while on a food run to Wawa failed to show for preliminary hearing.

A former Gracedale employee arrested March 4 on drunken driving charges failed to show up in court this week, according to a Lehigh Valley Live report. A county judge will issue a bench warrant for her.

Tiffany Jacoby, 25, got in trouble after she got lost—for two hours—while on a food run.

Jacoby, of Palmerton, had a .18 percent blood-alcohol content when, at 2:22 a.m., Lower Saucon Township police spotted her parked car in the middle of a township road. The legal limit for being intoxicated is .08 percent.

According to police, Jacoby said she was headed for Wawa to pick up food for herself and her Gracedale colleagues.

The nearest Wawa to Gracedale, the county nursing home in Upper Nazareth Township, is in nearby Lower Nazareth Township. The trip, according to MapQuest, is about three miles.
